I received my part yesterday in the mail. The part is NOT the part pictured. Yes, it will still work, however, if I wanted to new OEM part, I could have ordered it from anywhere. I wanted the original part, which is pictured!

Once again Chrysler/ Jeep puts a POS product on a car that fails! Add the Automatic Climate Control Fan to the list! This is what they should give every owner who has one. Just one more reason why they are now owned by Fix It Again Tony!

Item received is completely different than what was pictured. This is the new fix. I needed the old blower motor which was pictured but not any longer. Stay away. Alot of deception going on with this seller.

I have a relationship with the parts department at my local Jeep Dealership so I can typically buy parts cheaper there. I inquired about a new blower motor control module for my Jeep. The (very experienced) parts guy said "I'll sell you one, but you won't like it".

I asked "why" and he explained that Chrysler had redesigned the part and the replacement part results in the blower motor only putting out about half the volume of air as it did with the original design. He further said the dealership had installed several of these new parts and almost all the customers complained about the low blower air output.

Though he sells (and gets a commission on) OEM parts, he highly recommended purchasing an aftermarket blower motor control module. That's what I did.

Sad, isn't it. Chrysler, a company known for decades for superior engineering, created a very problematic heating/air conditioning system for these Jeeps. Between the blend air door problems, the recirculation air door problems and the blower motor control module issues they "screwed the pooch".

Maybe the new Jeeps are better, but I won't give them the benefit of the doubt.

after i installed the product the blower motor ran but there was no air output from the vents. the vent doors could be heard operating the blower motor was also operating properly only after i went to a jeep forum online where someone with a similar problem was looking for help had received assistance from a mechanic who said the 2 wire harness might be reversed and the blower motor blowing in reverse. well sure enough that was the problem some quality control!

    • Place the vehicle in park, activate the parking brake, and leave the car running.

    • The blower motor is located under the dash on the passenger side of the vehicle.

    • For easier access to the wiring push the seat back, and place your tools on the floor of the car .

    • The blower motor adapter is a bundle of three wires located on the left side.

    • While the vehicle's ignition is on, push and pull gently on the wire connection.

    • If the blower motor turns on, you have identified the problem and following this guide will help you fix it

    • If the fan does not turn on, the damage may not be fixable without purchasing new parts.

    • For your safety do not grasp any wires you can not see. Do not attempt to grasp any wires that are not covered in insulation and/or electrical tape.

    • Turn off the ignition on the vehicle and proceed with the following steps.

    • There are two screws holding the adapter in place. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove both screws in order to remove and gain access to the adapter.

    • The two screws are identical. Be careful not to lose them.

    • Be sure the car is completely off before unscrewing anything.

    • The fault typically occurs at the connection between the three wires and the adapter box.

    • Observe the damage and decide if electrical tape will be enough to hold the wires in place.

    • If so, using electrical tape, wrap the wires tightly until they are securely in place.

    • Replacement parts are available for purchase if the damage is beyond your repair capabilities.

    • Screw the adapter back into place.

    • Turn on the car and test the AC/Heater to make sure it works.
