Welcome back. Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account.

Hey my friend,

Here’s something I have realised lately in life:

When it comes to your personal dreams, some people seem to have a strong opinion about it.

They seem to think their opinion matters.

That you should listen to exactly what they have to say.

Maybe they think your dreams are too crazy.

Or perhaps they think you are the crazy one for daring to strive for something so lofty.

I say: it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.

Their opinion doesn’t matter – only yours does.

Let your friends, family and strangers focus on their own life while you focus on yours.

You have your life to live and they have theirs.

I mean, seriously: you need to live your own life for you will die your own death.

Other people are NOT walking in your shoes every day, just like you aren’t walking in theirs.

So they don’t get to tell you what you should or should not do!

WHY I DON’T CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF ME

Here’s some advice:

Don’t doubt yourself.

Don’t put other people ahead of you and your goals.

Don’t let other people’s opinions become a massive boulder that you can’t push out of your way.

Unsolicited opinions are nothing more than a hurdle to jump, an annoying fly to swat away.

WHY I DON’T CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF ME

You need to give them the silent middle finger.

You need to learn how to let other people’s opinions glide in one ear and straight out the other.

You will never feel fulfilled if you are constantly swayed by the voices of other people in your head, while your own voice sits huddled in the corner, afraid to stick up for itself.

What other people say is usually just a reflection of them – their issues, their fears, their insecurities – and nothing to do with you.

WHY I DON’T CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF ME

Here are some quotes to keep in mind:

Other people’s opinions of you are none of your business.

Robin Sharma

Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.

Oscar Wilde

If their name isn’t God, their opinion doesn’t matter and their approval isn’t needed.

If you leave the smallest corner of your head vacant for a moment, other people’s opinions will rush in from all quarters.

George Bernard Shaw

Don’t let the noise of other people’s opinions drown out your own inner voice.

Steve Jobs

Don’t let other people’s opinions distort your reality. Be true to yourself. Be bold in pursuing your dreams. Be unapologetically you!

Steve Maraboli

And finally:

The unhappiest people in this world are those who care the most about what other people think.

C. Joybell C.

WHY I DON’T CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF ME

In a nutshell, not caring about other people’s opinions will be the smartest and wisest choice you ever make.

Please keep in mind: this isn’t a selfish choice either but a choice of self-care indicating a sense of strong self-worth.

Make that choice today!

Your life = your choice.

Your choice = your destiny.

You are worth it!

If other people still insist on badgering you with their opinions:

> Tell them to mind their own business

> Tell them to follow their own advice

> Tell them they had their chance and now it’s your turn to do whatever you want.

> Tell them their right could potentially be your wrong.

> Tell them their wrong could potentially be your right.

> Tell them “it may be best to just agree to disagree.”

> Or if worse comes to worst, give them a taste of their own medicine.

> Tell them your opinion is that their opinion isn’t necessary.

Snap.

End of story.

Shake it off.

Tune them out.

Don’t take it personally.

Develop thick skin.

Keep your eyes focused on your goal.

BEST TIP OF ALL: Don’t give a hoot what anyone else thinks.

Discover yourself otherwise you have to depend on other people’s opinions who don’t know themselves. Rajneesh

Wishing you the best of luck when it comes to NOT caring about what other people think.

Much love,

Frances Vidakovic xxx
