How long does Kaiser take to ship prescriptions?

For certain drugs, you can get prescription refills mailed to you through our Kaiser Permanente mail-order pharmacy. You should receive them within 3 to 5 days. If you have questions or concerns about your prescription delivery, please call your local Kaiser Permanente mail-order pharmacy for more information.

How do I submit a prescription online?

There are generally two ways to fill a prescription online: Use an online pharmacy or mail-order pharmacy to fill your prescription; the pharmacy then mails you the prescribed medications. Use the patient portal on your pharmacy's website to request an Rx refill online, and then pick up your medicine in person.

What is an RX bin for Kaiser?

The Rx BIN number is a 6-digit number health plans use to process electronic pharmacy claims. Rx BIN and PCN numbers are used by new members to pick up a new prescription (or refill) prior to having a new ID card or showing up in the new Carrier's Rx system.

How long until prescription is ready?

In chain pharmacies, new prescriptions generally take 20 to 25 minutes to fill, while refills can take 10 to 15 minutes in smaller pharmacies.
