By default, Outlook place all received emails in the Inbox folder. What should you do if you feel your inbox is cluttered and want to move some specific emails to another folder automatically? This tutorial helps you to create a rule in Outlook to automatically move emails to a specific folder.

Automatically move email to folder by creating rule in Outlook
1. Firstly, select an email you want to move to a certain folder, right-click on it and select Rules > CreateRule…. See screenshot:
2. In the Create Rule dialog, Under When I get e-mail with all of the selected conditions section, specify the condition for this email (here I check the Subject contains checkbox, and the subject of the selected email is added to the text box automatically). And under Do the following section, check Move the item to folder box, and then click the Select Folder button.
3. In Rules and Alerts dialog box, select a folder to save the moved emails, then click OK to close the dialog.
4. If you want to create a new folder for these emails, click the New… button to create a new folder.
In the Create New Folder dialog, Name the folder, select a folder to place the new folder in the select where to place the folder section, and then click OK button.
5. When it returns to the Create Rule dialog box, click OK to finish the whole settings.
6. Now, a Success prompt box popping up, check Run this rule now on messages already in the current folder box, then click OK to start the removing.
7. From now on, when Outlook receives emails that meet the conditions, it will be automatically moved to the specific folder.
