Congrats to Cody Johnson as he has reached the top of the Billboard country airplay chart with “‘Til You Can’t.”

Cody’s first number-one hit “‘Til You Can’t” is one of the tracks from his Human – The Double Album.

Talking about the track, Cody says “‘Til You Can’t’ is an opportunity for me to give a good message. Not only did I think that people needed to hear the message of take chances and go out and do the things. Tell people you love them. Tell them you’re sorry. Really live life until you can’t. Not only did they need to hear it, I needed to hear it. Every night that I’ve played this song on stage it’s completely changed my perspective on things that were going on in my own life.”

Cody adds, “Huge thank you to Country Radio and to COJO Nation for loving this song. Y’all, I am so thankful!”

On Tour

The best Cody Johnson song finds him peeling away the layers of his hardened heart. Or maybe the Texas country singer's top songs find him making a bold outlaw statement? This list of 11 great songs from his seven-album catalog explores all sides of the "On My Way to You" singer.

Johnson — a 2019 Taste of Country RISERS pick — started to gain national fame with "With You I Am," a song he released independently in 2016. But by that time fans in Texas, the southwest and southeast were well aware of his cowboy ways. The former bull rider remained consistent with a traditional country sound that relies on stories of love, loss, rodeo and occasional theft. Yep, there's one of those on this list of Johnson's best songs — how could we ignore the song he closes his main set with?

Now signed with Warner Music Nashville, Johnson is making the best music of his career. Songs from the Ain't Nothin' to Italbum (2019) were written and recorded before the joint partnership was agreed upon, so there's no sacrifice in the name of compromise happening on this project. Four of the 11 songs on this list of the best Cody Johnson songs come from his newest albums, but we didn't shy from his older material. Dig as far back as 2011 on this list.
