The 2014 Toyota Corolla uses A64.5mm oil filter wrench to remove it. This is a type of wrench that is designed to fit over the metal oil filter completely and remove it. There are also adjustable wrenches that use a strap to wrap around the oil filter to take it off. Usually You should only use a ratchet to remove an oil filter and not install one. When installing an oil filter You only want it to be slightly above hand tight to prevent leaking. If You tighten it too much then it can get stuck on the vehicle and be very difficult to remove whenever You need to change the oil.
The 2014 toyota corolla uses a 64.5Mm oil filter wrench for oil filter removal.

Have heard 64mm and then again 64.5mm, ad these could be incorrect.
Anyone out there know what the correct size and any recommendations in to where to purchase in store?

Most parts dealers, Supercheap, Auto barn, Repco have just what you are looking for. Google oil filter socket wrench. The one I use has an adjustable strap and fits on any 1/2 inch socket wrench. I have one I use on both my Corolla and Camry , any car really...Very Easy to use..

Later camry engines do not use a spin on oil filter but the filter element is located inside a housing attached to the engine. a speciality tool is best used to remove / replace the element housing cap.

Best to check but what I expect you will find is a metal oil cartridge housing which you can use a 3/8 inch drive to undo.
