Those who have never seen the dramatic improvement a dermaroller can have on acne scars and stretchmarks will find such before-and-after pictures hard to believe. No, they are not "Photoshopped" and yes, there are even better examples to be found on the net. Click the images for bigger photo. Show
Acne scars dermarolling - before & after:Great improvement with the suction method (used after single-needling and dermastamping). Dermarolling pigmentation - before & after:Dermarolling works really well against hypopigmentation. Stretchmarks dermarolling - before & after:Dermarolling stretchmarks before and after (1) Dermarolling stretchmarks before and after (2) Stretch marks become flatter and lose some their contrast after dermarolling. The principle of dermarolling - how dermarolling works - is new collagen and elastin formation. When you roll the skin, the many tiny holes in the skin cause micro-inflammation, which causes new collagen to form. This regenerative collagen "smoothes over" the scar tissue. Dermarolling can be used to strongly improve:
Dermarolling also highly enhances the penetration of skin care products or hair growth stimulants into the skin. Derminator before photoThis customer is a 65-year old female who was delighted with the improvement she achieved after just a few months of treatment with our Derminator® machine. She wrote us that she achieved great improvement in sun damage,
lines, large pores and discoloration. More recent photos taken with a better camera are forthcoming. Photos reproduced with permission. More photos submitted by our customers: Dermaneedling before and after photos. Derminator before photo Her facial skin looks ten years younger. Improvements resulting from dermaneedling are assumed permanent, since the entire skin structure has been replaced and renewed by the own body under the influence of micro-injuries to the skin. Our Derminator® uses a sensor to digitally keep the correct needling depth and thus obtain a perfectly smooth result. Manual rolling or using a cheap, weak Chinese-made analog device can never yield such spectacular results in such a short time. Derminator after photosDerminator after photo Our Derminator machine is louder than the puny Chinese devices because those really are permanent makeup machines in disguise and lack the power to penetrate the skin and cause microtearing. A still realistic price for our skin needling device and our needle cartridges would be ten times what we sell it for now, and it would still be the #1 choice for clinics and professionals. There exists no machine remotely like it. The Derminator has been fully designed and produced in our own facilities by our own employees. It contains a microprocessor with advanced software that took half a year to develop and refine. It has an extremely sensitive Hall-effect sensor made by Honeywell and it contains the most powerful small magnet that can be mass-produced in a modern factory. Only the Derminator is able to needle consistently at a digitally set depth, regardless of local variations in mechanical resistance of the skin. The Derminator constantly measures actual needling depth and shows it on its display. Derminator after photo - detail of the lips These photos come directly from the

Thank you, Anna" June 2016:June 2017 (after 5 treatments with 1.5 to 2 mm):Acne scars - single treatment - 2019Hi! I’m going to talk about this product forever! Thank you so much! I have dealt with severe acne and then the scarring for over a decade. Nothing worked - chemical peels, retin A, dermaroller, NOTHING. I am prone to hyperpigmentation so I’m afraid of laser treatments. I also think the dermaroller made my skin worse. I ordered this as a last resort and I prayed it would work. I have only done ONE treatment and it was about 3 weeks ago. My scars are more shallow, dark marks are so much more faded, and my skin is more plump and even toned. My marks have never ever faded this quickly. Ever. I used to be ashamed to go out without any makeup. I still have a ways to go with my treatments, but I’m already much more confident and happy to have finally found something. Thank you so much!!!! The pictures are right before I microneedled and 2 weeks after microneedling. The lighting is different because of the sunlight, but I was in the same position both times. There’s nothing on my face in any picture. I started on 1.25 and then 1.5 and then briefly 1.75 on my really severe and deep scarring. I also used a copper peptide serum while needling, and used the serum and organic hemp oil to moisturize afterwards. My husband is amazed and I’m ecstatic!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! After one Derminator sessionAfter: After: November 2019 (update)Unfortunately, I had a really bad breakout in July. I did microneedling and a while later did a glycolic peel and my skin purged terribly. I wasn't able to send you photos at that point. However, my dark marks are basically gone from that breakout. I have one dark mark from a cyst I just got rid of (I ate pizza and thought I could try dairy again - nope! I had to completely cut off dairy from my diet), and my redness and scarring are still trying to get it together. Especially my right cheek, I have some deeper scars that don't want to budge. However, my skin texture (acne and hyperpigmentation) have been very much helped by microneedling with your machine. I plan to continue therapy maybe for another year or so with the consistent 8-week apart sessions. Acne scars before and after photos - 7Using the single needle, dermastamp and suctioning method on acne scars. Results after 6 months. Dermarolling before and after pictures - 6These scars were the result of an IPL laser burn. The laser was set too high. The burns happened in Sept. 2009 and the picture is from one year afterwards, in June 2010. This picture is from March 2011, after five months of needling. The customer is very happy with the results and posted them originally on our forum. Dermarolling before and after photos - 5These pictures have been submitted by one of our customers on our forum. (Ten-month update) Dermarolling before and after pictures - 4This photo is taken before microneedling, but after acid peels that had no significant result. The photo is taken under halogen illumination inside a bedroom. And this photo is taken one and a half year later, in September 2010, outside in a sunny garden. The photo was taken six weeks after her last needling. She has needled her stretch marks every 4-6 weeks for one and half years and she will continue. She has used a 1.5 mm dermaroller and the single needle, topical vit. C and Infadolan. She densely needled the stretch marks from different angles, to various depths up to 2 mm with quite some pinpoint bleeding. No other treatment was employed. Stretch marks are still there but the overall improvement is amazing. The stretch marks tanned for the first time since they had formed. (The straight red lines are caused by swimsuit pants). The photos are not manipulated in any way. Dermarolling before and after photos - 3This customer has her own blog. This picture is from her blog. She bought our dermarolling products. "Sarah and John Vaughter" can be made out on the instructions: This is a "before" picture: This is a picture after three rolling sessions and two agressive single-needlings: Such improvement usually takes more needling sessions. Click on the picture for an enlargement. Dermarolling before and after pictures - 2The next customer's photos are of a vaccination scar, treated with the single needle. The scar is 35 years old. The same vaccination scar immediately after needling with the single needle: And here is the same vaccination scar after four needlings, one months apart. The photo is taken five weeks after the last needling. The hardened collagen scar tissue is mostly gone and the scar tanned for the first time since it had formed. She has used the single needle, topical vit. C and Infadolan. The scar is much less visible now. No other treatment was employed. The middle photo was taken inside, the others outside in full summer light. You can use single needling to improve both atrophic and hypertrophic scars, stretch marks, surgical scars (including liposuction, breast augmentation and tummy tuck scars), scars resulting from accidents including burn scars, acne scars, etcetera. You should not use it on keloid scars. You can also improve individual wrinkles, especially the ones between the eyebrows and on the forehead. The needle has to be very thin with a long taper. Our single needles are custom made according to our own design. The "stretchmarked" skin is usually thinned both in the epidermis and the dermis (skin layers). Stretch marks/scars usually have abundant collagen in them but that collagen is in the form of a scar - the collagen layout is different from that in normal skin and the elastin fibers are abnormal as well. Pricking the stretch marks densely with a single needle will crush the hardened collagen bundles and that should smoothe the texture of the stretch marks and make them less bright and shiny. With repeated needling, the indented scars fill up a little. Although the scar will never completely disappear. If you are lucky, the repeated micro injuries caused by pricking the skin will make the stretch marks heal with a better collagen layout and a fiber configuration that is a little more "normal skin"-like. Old scars usually have poor blood supply. Needling often triggers angiogenesis - the growth of new blood vessels. Needling can also induce melanocyte production and that will enable the stretch marks to tan or partially tan. All this is individual, so we can't give hard guarantees. If your stretch marks are very shallow (unfortunately, most of them are not), they could even disappear entirely but so far, no current method can totally remove deep stretch marks. All we can do is improve them over time. Remember - there are no silver bullets or magical solutions. All real improvement takes time, effort and the endurance of some pain. Dermarolling before and after photos - 1This customer tried to improve her skin texture and pore size with dermarolling - successfully. People seem to forget to mention that important fact. 2. March 10, 2012 I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A PICTURE OF HOW YOUR FACE LOOKS RIGHT AFTER YOU ROLL. I DON'T KNOW IF I'M PRESSING HARD ENOUGH. 4. csd Tuesday, April 3, 2012 Hello, I am csd and my picture is the first one above with the white bar marks on my chest. As for your question about the length used, I think I started with 1.0 and used it all over my chest about 2 to 3 times per week intitially. If your scars are less "deep" you could use the .5 length, but at least 2 of my scars were so severe that I could literally feel that they were harder than the rest of my skin, if that makes sense... the white scars felt really dense, so I was aggressive in trying to break up that scar tissue. This site has a very good section on what length roller to use for different areas of the body. Each area and scar are different, but the administrator of this site tries to answer as many questions as possible, either in a response directly or by putting the information to answer your question on this site. Good luck and I hope you have great success!! 5. Megan2hilty Saturday, April 14, 2012 Hello Sarah- first of all I want to thank you for your website and your willingness to respond to people's questions. I am needing some help and have some very specific questions. I have suffered from hormonal acne and ingrown hairs, cysts that I have severely picked at for the last 5 years. I have finally begun to get my skin cleared up, and thought that it would all be OK- but it is so not OK. Part of my process in keeping my skin clear was to use a 20% salicylic acid peel with great reviews on Amazon. It has definitely helped in keeping skin from breaking out, but my scars, (mostly line scars, almost like surgical ones) on my chin over the last month appear WAY more significant now. I can only attribute this to the acid breaking down surrounding skin? I have a consult with a plastic surgeon this next week- could a laser possibly help with these? My only fear is that with the heat from the laser it could trigger more cysts to form. I have needled twice and when I do needle ( with your single needles), the skin surrounding scars feels hollow almost' like nothing has ever filled in the space. 6. Sarah
Vaughter Sunday, April 15, 2012 Acid peels remove the outermost layer of skin and the lines may appear deeper until the layer grows back. It may still improve by itself. You should not overdo it with peels concerning the frequency of application. I am afraid I cannot answer the question whether a laser could help with your specific lines. Hopefully your surgeon will advise you. The "secret" of dermarolling and many other rejuvenating methods such as chemical peels and certain laser treatments is to cause some very mild damage to the skin. It is a trick to make the body repair the damaged skin. The skin gets rejuvenated as a side effect of this repair. The damage has to be substantial enough to induce repair but not too serious to cause scarring. Fraxel laser makes tiny injuries to the skin through heat (a dermaroller makes tiny injuries mechanically). 7. Angella Saturday,
May 5, 2012 Hie I have scratches from dermarolling on my thighs and breast, will they ever disappear? It looks like I was scratched by something 8. Sarah Vaughter Saturday, May 5, 2012 Page 10 of our instructions: http://dermaroller.owndoc.c... ..shows a picture of the scratches you mention. They are caused by the wrong dermarolling technique. As far as I know, all dermarolling vendors except us advise the wrong technique, and when you roll quite a few times using that wrong technique, those "scratches" will develop (they are only temporary). Please follow our instructions exactly. You should lift the roller up after every movement, so that it does not stay in the same "track" all the time but the needles will be much more evenly spread over the skin. It's a little more uncomfortable and a little more hassle, but the result will be better and you won't end up with "scratches". 9. Princess-of-north Friday, May 11, 2012 Hello. Does the derma-roller work on scars from an injury, like a laceration? 10. Sarah Vaughter Saturday, May 12,
2012 If the laceration is fully healed and there is a scar left, microneedling will improve the scar. Buy a 1.5 mm dermastamp and stamp the scar (stamp it spot by spot) every three weeks. If your scar is raised, perform the pressure massage explained here: http://forum.owndoc.com/sho... If the scar is not raised or not any more, do not
perform the pressure massage. 11. looking for answers Monday, May 14, 2012 How does derma-roller work on hypopigmentation? 13. Locasciogina Tuesday, May 22, 2012 I am so excited to receive my shipment of rollers (1 for face, 1 for hands, 1 for eye/lip). 14. Sarah Vaughter Wednesday, May 23, 2012 Please, read the last part of this article. It concerns the neck: //owndoc.com/dermaroll... 15. Minerva99 Tuesday, June 26, 2012 Sagging neck and other body parts are best treated by HARD exercise! Swimming and running firms up neck muscles and no sagging neck. Lifting weights in gym firm and build the trapezius, pectorals, upper lateral muscles on and around neck to firm up everything. Sagging skin shows a lack of exercise and discipline. You also have to eat lean and smart. The food you intake shows on the outside. Lower calories, eat digestible protein, vitamins and minerals, raw foods, balanced diets, lots of probiotic yoghurt. Cut back severely on sugar, with fat in moderation. No more saggy anything. 16. Smithkathryn21 Sunday,
July 1, 2012 With all due respect, Minerva, you are full of misinformation regarding muscles and skin and age and sun damage and elastin and collagen and basically anything else that comes to mind. 17. Patty27 Monday, September 10, 2012 LOL! Well said. If what Minerva says were true, that sagging skin is only about lack of exercise and a poor diet, then half of today's teenagers would have skin sagging to the ground (due to fast food and sedentary lifestyles). It really is about age and sun exposure. I'm sure exercise and eating right might help some, but to say "no more sagging anything" is just silly. Commenting on this article is not possible anymore. How long does it take to see results from Dermarolling stretch marks? When Will You See Results? Results with dermarollers are quick but don't expect miracles overnight. Since you'll be dermarolling stretch marks every six to twelve weeks, expect results after at least four to five sessions (or six to seven months).
Does Derma Roller really work for stretch marks?Microneedling has been clinically shown to fade the appearance of scarring including stretch marks. Derma rollers gently open collagen fibers at the surface as they glide over the skin by breaking up the tough, stringy fibers that make up scar tissue.
Does dermaroller work on old stretch marks?Dermarollers are a wonderful creation, if you have old stretch marks or even new, give it a try. But remember consistency and patience are key (also the cream you use will determine how efficient the dermaroller will be on your skin).
How many times should I use derma roller for stretch marks?Typically, a patient would have to use a derma roller three to four times a week to see visible results, especially in the abdominal region or the thighs. While the process of derma rolling does encourage rapid growth of collagen and elastin, it's consistency that ultimately creates long-lasting results.
