For my aunnie to provide this company with good service and her discount isn’t 100 percent enjoyable, it’s sayin the company should step it up for their loyal employees. Overall my aunnie showed me what to check the housekeeper did good on the cleanliness. The hotel requires that you specifically book their ”pet friendly” room when making your reservation. I will say that the room was clean and the interior courtyard with the pool looked inviting. The room itself was dumpy and in need of renovation. It was a sufficient place to sleep, but did not make you want to spend any additional time in the room. The inside of the bathroom door had chipped paint and the floor was not carpeted (I am guessing because it was the ”dog friendly room”.) The dog walk area was conveniently located just outside the first floor room, but was strewn with food debris, chicken bones etc., making it necessary to take great care that our dog did not eat any of the food garbage when we walked him. I can't speak as to the condition of their ”regular” rooms, but with the $25 per night pet fee, our total bill including taxes and fees for a two night stay came to $514 and it definitely was not worth it. It is very convenient to have a shopping mall similar to an outlet nearby. There are restaurants and supermarkets in the shopping mall. But the overall feeling is not that safe. At 12 o'clock in the evening, the smelly man in the next room beats his wife, and the wife screams all kinds of screams, and no one cares when he hears all kinds of banging sounds. It feels like the woman is about to be beaten to death. Our language is not good. He dared not open the door and waited with the sofa against the door. Fortunately, someone knocked on the door for about half an hour and took the woman away. From time to time, he heard the verbal abuse from the man. This was the most terrible experience of this trip. I didn't see the hotel with security, and the hotel parking lot was open. The room can be used for cooking, there is a washing machine in the room, and the sofa does not seem to be opened as a bed. I have always loved Hampton Inn, it's not as nice as I remember, there was loud music and weed smoke all down the hall and I had my kid with me. No breakfast because of Covid-19. I accidentally booked one regular king suite and then a handicap and they made me move rooms the 2nd day here, even though she said they were no very full. The store was barely stocked, no juice for the kids. It is clean quiet and they have taken all the safety precautions due to the virus. We felt very safe there! Breakfast was always good and the pool area is very nice on most days I had the pool all to myself The staff at the front desk Charlie, Eduardo, Yvon, Jessica, and Ariel were always friendly and called you by name. A special thank you to Samantha and Jay for accommodating us with the room we requested and their friendliness To the managers,Emily Karen Elizabeth and Ken you should be very proud of your staff from the gentlemen at the valet , the ladies in the breakfast area who always had a-smile, to the housekeeping staff who keep the hotel immaculate! When I asked where the fitness center was I was told it was closed for renovations. I know it doesn’t matter to a lot of people, but this is a HUGE deal for me. Usually if a property has amenities down, there will be a notice at the top at booking or an advance email. There was neither. I could have chosen from many other Marriott properties nearby including a Springhill 2 buildings away, and I would have not booked here or changed my reservation had there been any notice about NO GYM!! As a Titanium member, the Springhill next door wouldn’t even let me use their fitness center! I had to pay out of pocket and drive somewhere to accommodate what should be part of an included daily routine. It’s fine that they are renovating, but to not provide advance notice about it or a day pass some where nearby, is inexcusable! I have been to other hotels without a fitness center and they usually offer a reciprocal arrangement with a nearby gym if they can’t deliver promised amenities! That is the least the hotel GM should have done, or offered a credit for the amount I had to pay to go to a gym. I will never stay at either this property or the Springhill next door ever again!!! It was during the Honda Classic so everything was booked. Todd was at the front desk and I have to say I was rather upset for having our plans changed so I wasn’t the most pleasant customer for Todd. Todd stayed professional and asked if we would like two queens or a king. I realized I was probably being rude so I apologized. I applaud Todd for his professionalism. It started to get busy at check in so he greeted each guest. The room was clean. The AC was great. The fridge kept everything cold and the little freezer compartment actually froze my ice packs.
