“The Prayer” was originally released as separate solo tracks for the animated film Quest for Camelot. There’s a solo version for Celine Dion recorded in English and another for Andrea Bocelli in Italian.

This popular classical crossover song by David Foster, Carole Bayer Sager, Alberto Testa, and Tony Renis was also recorded as a duet between Dion and Bocelli and appeared on each of their solo albums in 1998 and 1999.

“The Prayer” won Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1999 and a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 2000.

It’s a song people all over the world never get tired of hearing. Especially during difficult moments. Times when everything seems uncertain. Regardless of religion, this song moves people to their own personal place of prayer or mediation.

While it is Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli’s original work that gets all the attention, Andrea has had many duets with talented singers over the years. Including performances with Helene Fischer.

This Russian lady migrated to Germany at the age of three. Helene is a successful singer, dancer, entertainer, television presenter, and actress. She’s won lots of awards, and with a voice like that, is no slouch when on stage with Bocelli.

He may have been blinded as boy during a football accident but rest assured, his handsome features don’t go unnoticed even in his advanced years. But it’s that voice, that exquisite gem of a voice, that’s made him one of the world’s best singers. Ever.

As amazing as this was on video, imagine what it must have been like live. Those people in attendance must have been stunned. They came for a show but got a glimpse of heaven instead. Andrea has that effect on people. And now, Fischer does too.

This breathtaking, soul stirring song just had a revival courtesy of this Russian-German sensation and the always unbelievable Andrea Bocelli.

The tenor singer Andrea Bocelli is known as a living legend amongst music fans across the globe. His wonderful voice has captured the hearts of millions over the years, especially with high-profile and family duets. His voice seems to compliment whoever is performing with him.

In 2020, when live performances were few and far between, Andrea and Helene treated us to a very special live performance of “The Prayer”. Helene invited Andrea to perform with her on her TV show “The Helene Fischer Show”, a very popular show in her home country, Germany. Their voices compliment each other perfectly in this beautiful performance of a classic song.

Helene Fischer and Andrea Bocelli had never sung together in public until 2012 when they performed “When I Fall In Love”, despite being close friends, making the performance below very special. Watch their magical live cover of “When I Fall In Love” in the video below.

Known for his brilliant vocal range and power, Andrea has also created some of the best live and studio-recorded duets with friends and family members. The beloved tenor has sung with his wife, daughter, son and Pavarotti, just to name a few.
