What does Splash Mountain have to do with Song of the South?Disney has not made “Song of the South” available in any form for 33 years because of its racist imagery. Splash Mountain does not overtly reference the film, but the ride is built around the Br'er Rabbit and Br'er Fox stories that form its center.
Do Riders get wet on Splash Mountain? This attraction includes 950,000 gallons of water, 3 dips and a 5-story drop. Where you're seated will determine how wet you'll get. Riders in the back may experience a sudden splash or spray; those who opt for the front can expect to get soaked.
Do you always get wet on Splash Mountain?Keep in mind that Guests must be 40 inches or taller to ride, and you WILL get wet. If you don't want to get soaked, request to sit in the back row. If you do want to let Splash Mountain live up to its name and walk off soaking wet, then request to sit in the front row.
Is Splash Mountain Tiana themed? There's also an official name for the upcoming Princess and the Frog re-theme of Splash Mountain at Disneyland and Walt Disney World: Tiana's Bayou Adventure! The name along with the updated opening window of late 2024, was revealed today at the ESSENCE Fest in New Orleans.
