The sweetness is so intense it overpowers the spices in a saccharine-sickly sort of way. Maybe the warning was in the 'sweet clove' description. There's no mention of sugar in the ingredients, so perhaps it's wrapped up in the mysterious 'natural and artificial flavours' part of the ingredients list. Sorry to be so negative, but it was just not what I had expected and it's gone in the bin. The best thing about it was the beautiful tin the beautiful bags came in.
