You will press up on the white collar while pulling slightly on the water line. I would make sure the water supply was off before I did this, though why do you need to remove these two lines? Isn't there a main connection on the back ahead of these two? Sure would be easier to remove that one than these. 07-17-12, 09:29 AMJoin Date: Jul 2012 Posts: 36 Received 0 Votes on 0 Posts Thank you that did it .... i have a crack in the line and its a a weird size.. the line from the floor to the fridge is fine.. and its 1/4.. but the one with the crack in it is not a 3/8s or a 1/4... thinking it could be a 5/8's back to the blue store... grrrrrrrr and a very big UGH ! lol water off btw ;-) 07-17-12, 10:08 AMJoin Date: Dec 2010 Location: Galivants Ferry SC USA Posts: 18,183 You will not find that fitting. Its a overseas part and a special order from the manufacturer. Been there done that. That fitting is usually pressed on and there is nothing you can do if its on the fridge side. I have not looked in a while to see if anyone has made this fitting yet. Don't tell me...LG fridge????? Many fridges have been returned under warranty and replaced because of this issue. Its mind boggling. 07-18-12, 09:05 AMJoin Date: Jul 2012 Posts: 36 Received 0 Votes on 0 Posts hey Mike , the good news is i dont need that fitting.. its fine.. the water line has a crack in it.. funny thing is.. the OD of the line is 1/4 and the ID is 5/8's so i picked up a barb on both ends, installed it with a new peice of 3 /16 id and 1/4 OD put it on the 3/16 barb on both ends and used a long peice of shrink tube, heated that up sealed it and works like a champ ;-) iif thers a will theres a way ! total cost was $2.36 to fix it.. the people from the appliance place wated 50.00 to just come out and tell me what was wrong with it, i knew what was wrong with it.. if its a service call, call it that.... this lady was addiment about that.. just kept saying 50 to tell ya whats wrong with it.. i told her i know whats wrong with it.. how much to come out and fix the whole water line.. she again said.. its 50.00 to come out and tell you whats wrong with it.. i just hung up.. 50.00 for a service call is way to much.. i charge 22.50 for service calls here in Michigan as a Locksmith , find out whats wrong and fix the problem if i can and as cheapley for the customer as i can.. thanks for ringing in and i hope this helps someone else fixing their water line on the fridge.. oh.. no its not an LG .. its a Whilrpool... 4-5 years old.. concord i think it is... thanks again, Craig
