1.0 out of 5 stars Behind front shock, Extended??? Wait what.... 😲

Nice looking, well made SS lines but, they're not so extended!!! Well, the front lines anyways. The back lines are great but, the front are way shorter than stock! At least 4" shorter. You must run the front lines behind the shocks too avoid stressing lines. Even on a stock suspension. Running lines behind shock is tacky and doesn't protect your lines very well if you get in the sticks offroad. I'll snatch these lines off at first opportunity & practice bleeding my brakes some more. Rough Country should explain this better in advertising & instructions. I would not have bought!!! I will also think twice before buying brand again!

1.0 out of 5 stars SHORTER than stock OEM front brake lines

Look at the picture... The rear lines are great - nice looking and stay shiny. However, the front lines are at least 4 inches SHORTER than the ones that came on my 2011 Jeep Wrangler JK / JKU.

5.0 out of 5 stars Understanding these brake lines.

So I saw all the reviews talking about how these lines are barely longer than stock yet they are sold as a 4-6" lift compatible brake lines. That inconsistency almost caused me to pay much more for different brake lines. I have only done the front BTW. The reason why these work for a lifted jeep, yet they are not much longer than stock is because you are supposed to relocate where the brake line run is. You can run these directly to the mount point instead of running them where the stock lines are run which goes under the shock through that little bracket. By running them directly to the mount point you gain a lot of extra length, likely enough for a 6" lift I'm guessing. To do this right you have to also move that wire that comes from the hub to the other side of the shock so it's next to the relocated brake line. If you move it the lines can support each other. You might have to tie wrap them together. Now that you have everything lose behind the shock you are in danger of your lines being crushed in the shock or spring when fully compressed. So you have to buy brake line anchors to prevent that from happening. Unless you don't mind losing all brake power in an incline. Brake line relocation brackets are not recommended or necessary for anything less than a 6" lift but the anchors are. This is not safe without the anchors.

3.0 out of 5 stars Maybe better to go for a stock replacement

Early days yet, but there are things you should know before buying these. There is no replacement for the AXLE attachment point on the cable (the stock one has it) so you have to purchase the TeraFlex Brake Line Anchors (or something similar) to make certain that the brake line (and any ABS sensor) is under control/attached in a way that it will not get caught up in the suspension etc. The brake line attachment brackets (which cover the ones you lose on the stock brake lines) which attach to the CHASSIS are not made with the exact same spacing and are made for only, what seems to be, the right side (see attached photo). In short, these should be a mirror image of each other. With the brackets the way they are, you end up putting a lot of tension on the hard brake line on the left side of the car. I got them to attach, but it did not feel great. In the end, I would have preferred to get the stock replacements, but couldn't easily find them. That said, if you are installing a lift kit etc., stock lines will not be long enough, so you will need to be ready for something like the above when using this brand/part
