Jin Lee began with the Kroger Company 14 years ago as an hourly sanitation worker. Always one to challenger herself to learn new skills, Jin worked her way up through the Manufacturing plant where she now works as a Shift Resource Leader “This role gives me an opportunity to learn new skills such as how to manage people, communicate with a group, and manage business needs.”

Juan started his career with Kroger as a temporary associate. Nine and a half years later, has worked his way up to Warehouse Team lead where he partners closely with the receiving and outbound departments to ensure customers receive their orders on time. “I love the opportunity to lead a group of people, overcoming obstacles, toward our desired goals,” notes Juan.

A store leader in the Central division, Anahita Aryaeinejad began working at Kroger as a bakery clerk in 2013 after immigrating from Iran. Motivated to move forward into a leadership role, Anahita set her sights on being one of the first female leaders and worked toward fulfilling her dream. This year, Anahita was recognized as one of Progressive Grocer’s Top Women in Grocery in the Store Leader category! Congrats, Anahita—we’re proud to have you as part of our #KrogerFamily

Victoria Uti works as Director, Principal Research Engineer. She helps infuse Artificial Intelligence (AI) into processes to help simplify the customer experience. “I love that I get to listen and collaborate with people at all levels of the company.” AI is used to rapidly synthesize massive quantities of data, recognize patterns and anomalies, and transform information into actionable insights.  “My favorite thing about working at Kroger is its core values – respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. It’s why I accepted a position here. I get to be myself, and I feel like I belong at Kroger.

Lisa Lipa is Strategy Lead, Kroger e-Commerce Accelerator. The work she does helps inform the strategy around where and how Kroger innovates to deliver the most value back to the company and to its customers. This is a process of discovery and involves in-depth research from the market, the business, and customers. There are two things that Lisa loves most about her job: “The first is the people, because at the end of the day, the company you keep is always what makes the difference. The second is the breadth of Kroger’s reach, and, in return, the massive opportunity to better the lives of customers nationwide.”

Angie Vanater started working as a Courtesy Clerk at QFC 12 years ago. Today she’s making customers and associates smile as Store Leader. Angie is beloved by her store team for her high energy and positive, hard-working attitude. They say she always takes the time to stop and ask how they’re doing. What does Angie like most about her job: “All of the relationships I’ve built and continue to build! Especially with my team. They really are like family. You can’t always choose ‘em, but you learn to love each other nonetheless.”

Ralston Hilbert loves his job as Front End Department leader. “I can’t wait to get to work each day because every day is unique, fun and challenging. I love it.” He started as a Courtesy Clerk 27 years ago and today he’s making a difference in the lives of his associates. Ralston is proof of the endless opportunity Kroger/Food 4 Less provides. “There’s no limit on how far you can go or what you can achieve if you’re willing to work hard and learn something new every day. I get to help our associates grow in their roles.”

Alexia Munguia loves connecting with people. “I love having daily conversations with my regular customers.” She started as Deli Clerk two years ago and is now Deli Leader. “Since I’m so young and new to the company, people don’t expect me to be a department leader. It’s nice to know I was promoted based on how hard I worked.” Alexia appreciates her flexible work schedule too. “It allows me to spend time with family and loved ones while still being able to enjoy a great career.” Alexia loves building relationships with her staff and coaching them to be the best associates possible.

Three years ago, Francisco joined Kroger Supply Chain as a grocery order selector. Thanks to his hard work, he’s moved his way up into the HR organization of his facility. “I love my role because of the continuous learning that most definitely keeps me on my feet! The greatest thing of logistics is change, I’d say, and with change comes more learning. The Company along with the leaders, allowed me the opportunity to move within the company. It’s a great place to work!”
