Ways to Watch Hallmark Movies & Shows

The Nanny Express: 41.5Jan. 3, 2009

Vanessa Marcil and Brennan Elliott

“By the time Kate Hewitt walks through the front door of widower David Chandler, he is a desperate man. His two children, nine-year-old Ben and teenager Emily, have already succeeded in chasing a string of six terrorized nannies out of the very same entryway. But Kate, who is caring for an ailing father and finishing up a teaching degree, needs this job and she resolves to stand up to whatever tricks and pranks the Chandler kids can dish out—and to help them cope with the death of their mother.”

Cedar Cove Season 1Jul. 20 – Oct. 12, 2013

Andie MacDowell and Dylan Neal
Brennan Elliott in a supporting role

“In ‘Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove,’ MacDowell plays Judge Olivia Lockhart whose Cedar Cove Municipal Court is the professional milieu and social microcosm of issues the judge will face in her own day-to-day life with family and friends. Neal plays Jack Griffith, the new editor of the Cedar Cove Chronicle and budding love interest for Judge Lockhart.”

Cedar Cove Season 2Jul. 19 – Oct. 4, 2014

All of My Heart: 50.5Feb. 14, 2015

Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott

“A young caterer’s life suddenly changes course when she inherits a country home and learns she must share it with a career-obsessed Wall Street trader. At first, these opposites do not attract, but feelings begin to change when they find themselves having to work side-by-side to restore their newly acquired home.”

This overly cheesy movie isn’t for everyone. Usually, it wouldn’t be for me. However, the chemistry between Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott in their first project together makes this first installment of the trilogy very charming.

Cedar Cove Season 3Jul. 18 – Sep. 26, 2015

Christmas MelodyDec. 19, 2015

Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott

“’A Christmas Melody’ revolves around Kristin, a beautiful, stylish divorcee who is a talented clothing designer and her young daughter. Kristin has just had to close her small Manhattan boutique to return to her Ohio home town and live in her parents’ former home. It’s an adjustment for Kristin and Emily – especially when she runs into her former high school rival Melissa. Melissa is president of the PTA and tries to make Kristen feel as unwelcome as possible. Kristen and Emily struggle to find their new normal with the help of the music teacher Danny and Kristin’s Aunt Sarah, the local coffee shop owner. With a little holiday magic and music, Kristin and Emily find that home is where the heart is.”

Flower Shop Mystery: Mum’s the Word: 52Jan. 17, 2016

Brooke Shields and Brennan Elliott

“Abby Knight, a former lawyer turned proud flower shop owner is starting over after the death of her husband with the support from her father, a new business and her daughter off to college. Life is good in the peaceful town of New Chapel but when a black SUV rams her prized vintage car, she’s determined to track down the driver. She begrudgingly accepts the help of a new neighbor, the handsome and charming ex-Marine Marco Salvare who just bought the bar down the street.”

I really enjoyed this first installment of the series. Brooke Shields is simply charming. The mystery is compelling, and the characters are dynamic. The banter between the two leads is also quick and funny.

Flower Shop Mystery: Snipped in the Bud: 53.5Apr. 24, 2016

Brooke Shields and Brennan Elliott

“When she receives a mysterious order for black roses to be delivered to the law department of the local university, Abby, having a colorful history with the school and a daughter who is currently a student, decides to deliver the flowers herself. Upon her arrival, Abby crosses paths with an old law school rival, only to find him murdered in his office shortly after their encounter. When Abby’s fingerprints are found on the murder weapon, she becomes the chief suspect in a dramatic homicide investigation, finding herself hounded by a hard-boiled detective and pursued by a relentless reporter.”

The mysteries in this series are actually relevant to Abby and don’t seem so far-fetched like in other series. Series continuity is still going strong, from character development to ongoing storylines. I also love how well Marco is getting along with Abby’s dad in this installment.

Flower Shop Mystery: Dearly DepottedJun. 26, 2016

Brooke Shields and Brennan Elliott

“Abby Knight, ex-lawyer and crime buff, and the owner of Bloomers Flower Shop, is having a week to be reckoned with. A reluctant bridesmaid at her drama queen cousin’s wedding, Abby ends up not just doing the flowers…but having to find out who murdered a wedding crasher.”

Love You Like Christmas: 47Dec. 11, 2016

Bonnie Somerville and Brennan Elliott

“Maddie, a high-powered marketing executive, is on her way to a client’s wedding but her plans are derailed by car trouble. When a fork in the road leads her to Christmas Valley, a town in love with Christmas, an unexpected encounter and a group of strangers that start to feel like family will have her questioning what she’s really been missing in life.”

All of My Heart: Inn Love: 47Oct. 7, 2017

Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott

“Brian and Jenny are engaged and preparing for the grand opening of their bed and breakfast. But when a big storm hits Bucks County, all their plans end up sopping wet! With funds running low and time running out, Brian agrees to go back to Wall Street to make quick cash, while Jenny scrambles to keep the opening on track.”

This sequel lacks a bit of intense romance that the first movie had, but it’s equally as charming. The story meanders a little bit, but it’s still an enjoyable watch.

Christmas Encore: 44Dec. 9, 2017

Christmas Encore
Dec. 9, 2017

Maggie Lawson and Brennan Elliott

“Following years of bit parts and near-misses, aspiring New York actress Charlotte Lacy, is about to throw in the towel and move to Chicago to take a real job when she lands the lead in a new production of A Christmas Carol. She nails the part and finds unexpected romance with her director, TV star Julian Walker, along with a renewed passion for her craft and the city. But when the historic theater loses its lease and the show is set to fold before it even opens, Charlotte and her cast mates find themselves in need of a Christmas miracle.”

All of My Heart: The Wedding: 45.5Sept. 29, 2018

Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliot

“Jenny and Brian are planning their incredibly romantic wedding. Emily’s Country Inn is filled to capacity with happy guests. Then a distant relative of Emily’s arrives and she stakes a claim to the house. The pressure is on as Jenny and Brian try to raise enough money to hang onto their home. They go for broke expanding her company, Jenny’s Home Baked. Brian even considers a return to Wall Street. All of the wonderful friends they made in Bucks County are worried about their favorite couple, trying to figure out how to help. Jenny and Brian’s enduring love will once again be tested as the wedding day approaches and they struggle to keep the house that brought them together.”

Considering that this is the final movie of the trilogy, it’s not bad. However, it does drag on a bit more than its predecessors. That said, Jenny and Brian’s love story is nicely tied up.

Christmas at Grand Valley: 48.5Dec. 21, 2018

Danica McKellar and Brennan Elliott

“Burned out from the hubbub of the Chicago gallery world, artist Kelly returns home to the picturesque Grand Valley just in time for Christmas. Maybe her favorite town’s shining season will reinvigorate her love of art and guide her down her next path. Leo, businessman and all-star dad to his children, struggles to balance his time this holiday season. When he is assigned to review a hotel in Grand Valley for its value, he sees this as the perfect opportunity for a Christmas family vacation. It isn’t long until Kelly and Leo’s worlds collide. As Kelly re-experiences her favorite Grand Valley traditions with Leo and his children, she begins to find her way back to her passion for art.”

Crossword Mysteries: A Puzzle to Die For: 47Mar. 10, 2019

Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott

“A crossword puzzle editor finds her life completely disrupted when several of the clues in her recent puzzles are linked to unsolved crimes, and she is pulled into the police investigation.”

The plot is creative, albeit the execution is a bit clunky. Detective Logan is also a bit brash. However, Lacey Chabert as Tess Harper is a likable amateur sleuth.

All Summer Long: 48Aug. 24, 2019

Autumn Reeser and Brennan Elliott

“Tia’s dream job of captaining a dining cruise hits rough water when her ex Jake is hired as the restaurant’s chef. Will they be able to open a new business, navigate the sea, and each other?”

This movie was sweet and charming thanks to the leads, but the fallout was so forced.

Crossword Mysteries: Proposing Murder: 48.5Oct. 13, 2019

Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott

“When an old friend of New York Sentinel Crosswords editor Tess Harper is found murdered on the very day her puzzle includes his proposal of marriage, Tess unofficially teams up with Detective Logan O’Connor to find the killer.”

This installment is a bit slower and clunkier than its predecessor. However, the mystery is serviceable and the chemistry between the leads progresses nicely (a.k.a. Detective Logan is less cranky).

Crossword Mysteries: Abracadaver: 51Jan. 5, 2020

Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott

“A well-known magician drops dead in the middle of a dangerous trick on stage in front of a packed audience, but when the sudden death turns out to be murder, New York Sentinel Crosswords editor (and part-timer sleuth) Tess Harper and NYPD detective Logan O’Connor team up to discover exactly whose sleight of hand is behind the deadly “now you see him, now you don’t” stunt. Together, they must uncover the not-so-obvious clues and work their investigative magic to bring a killer to justice.”

This installment has a lot of illusions in its mystery. It’s entertaining, and I like seeing Tess and Logan’s friendship develop further.

Christmas in Vienna: 50.5Nov. 14, 2020

Sarah Drew and Brennan Elliott

“Jess, a concert violinist whose heart just isn’t in it anymore, goes to Vienna for a performance. While there, she finds the inspiration she has been missing, and a new love.”

Crossword Mysteries: Terminal Descent: 49.5Feb. 14, 2021

Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott

“After volunteering to participate in a crossword solving competition with a new supercomputer, crossword puzzle editor Tess Harper finds herself swept into the investigation of the bizarre murder of a tech CEO.”

While the mystery isn’t as compelling as in the first couple of movies, the pacing and character development keep viewers engaged.

Crossword Mysteries: Riddle Me Dead: 54Apr. 11, 2021

Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott

“Tess gets invited to be a part of a popular game show, but when the host is unexpectedly murdered, she and Detective Logan O’Connor seek to uncover who was behind it all.”

In true Hallmark Movies & Mysteries fashion, the fifth installment of this mystery series culminates in a very tend moment between our two leads. Oh yeah, the mystery was also compelling.

Open by ChristmasNov. 12, 2021

Alison Sweeney, Erica Durance, and Brennan Elliott

“When Nicky finds an unopened Christmas card from a high school secret admirer, she and her best friend Simone search to find and thank the anonymous author.”

The Perfect PairingJan. 15, 2022

Nazneen Contractor and Brennan Elliott

“After discovering a long-lost painting, museum curator Avery and new board member Peter investigate the artwork’s origins as they plan a gala to unveil it.”
