In the film, Lock was voiced by Paul Reubens (who also played Amilyn in Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Shock was voiced by Catherine O'Hara (who also voiced Sally in the same movie), and Barrel was voiced by Danny Elfman (who was the film's score composer, and also voiced the Clown and Jack Skellington's singing voice). In the Kingdom Hearts series, Lock was voiced by Jess Harnell, Shock was voiced by Kath Soucie, and Barrel was voiced by Jeff Bennett. HistoryThe Pumpkin KingLock, Shock and Barrel were picked by Oogie Boogie to stop Jack Skellington, whom the earlier holiday known as Bug Day was rejected. The Nightmare Before ChristmasLock, Shock and Barrel were first sent by Jack Skellington. The Mayor of Halloween Town was the first to encounter them, upset that Oogie Boogie's henchmen arrived, but they told him that Jack specifically asked for them by name. Jack then told them his plan, which was to capture Santa Claus. However, he specifically told the trio that the plan was top secret, and to not involve Oogie Boogie in it. They responded affirmatively, but crossed their fingers behind their backs to show that they were being dishonest. When they arrived at their lair, they performed the number "Kidnap the Sandy Claws", in which they came up with some plans about what to do with Santa when they capture him. A few notable plans included locking him up for 90 years, throwing him in the ocean, hitting him with sticks, boiling him alive, setting a trap, and blowing him up with a cannon. During this musical number, they also boiled a caged insect alive and sent it down Oogie's sacrificial chute. On their first try, they brought the Easter Bunny, much to Jack's frustration. The trio got in a brief physical fight before Jack stuns them with a monstrous face and roar, insisting that the Easter Bunny was to be sent back to Easter Town, bring back the correct holiday leader behind a Christmas tree symbol, and to treat Santa nicely when they fetch him. Lock, Shock, and Barrel leave, accepting Jack's request. About a month later, they finally found Santa Claus, bringing him to Halloween Town to meet Jack. Soon after, they sent Santa Claus to their lair, and began to send him down the chute. While they weren't sure if Santa could go down the chute, Lock points out that Santa could fit through anything, and soon proved himself right. Following Oogie's sudden death, they appeared to have redeemed themselves by finding the Mayor to tell him that Jack survived the crash. They and the Mayor help Jack and Sally escape Oogie Boogie's lair. They were among the citizens surprised when it started to snow in Halloween Town, and were last seen having a snowball fight. Oogie's RevengeLock, Shock and Barrel learned that Jack is out of town and decided to resurrect Oogie Boogie allowing him to inflict terror over Halloween Town once again. Oogie kidnaps the Holiday Leaders for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, and Easter, and imprisons them in his underground lair. Lock, Shock, and Barrel are entrusted with hiding each of the seven Holiday Doors in each area of the town where they wouldn't be discovered. They also raise armies of ghosts and skeletons to counteract Jack's inevitable attempt to fight upon his return. Shortly after Jack comes back, he encounters the trio in the Graveyard, and they refuse to reverse the damage. Lock engages him in battle and retreats after his skeletons are defeated. When Jack goes to free Sally, Lock fights him once more, this time entering the fray himself, but loses again. Soon after, when Jack attempts to free Dr. Finkelstein, Shock confronts him with an army of ghosts but retreats upon losing. She confronts him again at the Doctor's Lab, using giant metal balls to deter Jack from climbing the spiral ramp to the lab. Like Lock, Jack warns her to stop helping Oogie, and like Lock, she agrees but crosses her fingers behind her back. They're next seen at the Pumpkin Patch, where Barrel forces Jack to navigate a maze he's created to reach him in the Big Pumpkin Head. Upon succeeding, Jack fights Barrel and the skeletons under his control, taking from him the Thanksgiving Door and the key to the Residential Area. When Jack reaches the Mayor's house, he finds Lock, Shock, and Barrel on the roof, where they face off one last time. Upon their defeat, Jack claims the Independence Day door, but the trio uses a trick switch to open a void beneath him, dropping him into Oogie's underground lair and remarking, "Looks like he really fell for that one." They are not seen or mentioned for the remainder of the game after this. Kingdom Hearts SeriesKingdom HeartsLock, Shock, and Barrel in Kingdom Hearts. As well as their role in the film, Lock, Shock, and Barrel has also appeared as bosses in various video games, the more notable probably being Kingdom Hearts. In Kingdom Hearts, they stole an artificial Heart from Dr. Finkelstein to give to Oogie. However, they were soon captured, without the Heart. After their battle, they reluctantly revealed tips on how to defeat Oogie. It was assumed that they left the mansion afterwards, since they were seen in Kingdom Hearts II. Kingdom Hearts IIFirst VisitIn Kingdom Hearts II, it was revealed that the three became Dr. Finkelstein's assistants. When they went out to play, they came across Maleficent and told her of Oogie Boogie's fate. Maleficent revived Oogie and gave them control of the Prison Keeper Heartless as a distraction for Sora and company. Second VisitIn the second visit, they were blamed for stealing Christmas Presents from Santa. In the inevitable chase afterward, the heroes discovered the truth when they told them about Dr. Finkelstein's experiment. Trivia

How did shock from Nightmare Before Christmas died?Shock- This is also obvious, she was electrocuted.
Who died from Nightmare Before Christmas?Lock froze to death, which explains his pale skin and blue lips. Oogie Boogie was skinned alive, which is why he's just a burlap sack with insects for innards. And Zero the dog was electrocuted (the fact that he looks like smoke and his jack-o-lantern nose illuminates like a lightbulb may have clued us in).
Is shock a boy or a girl?Shock is a seven year old girl with dark violet-blue, wirey hair, pale green skin, and she wears a purple dress and hat, as well as black boots and gloves. She is the only one of the trio who wears a mask without a smile.
