In Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4, the Herald has flooded the map with chromium and the strange substance continues to spread. And the current season and even the current chapter is coming to an end, which is why players are starting to wonder how Chapter 4 will continue.

Let's not waste more time and dive into all the leaks, teasers and details we've collected about Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 1 so far. And don't worry, as soon as there is more news, we will of course update this article for you.

Release Date For Chapter 4, Season 1 In Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 1 will be released on December 4th, 2022

That is if everything goes as planned. The official end date for Fortnite Season 4 is December 3rd, but according to the first leaks, there will be a whopping 12 hours of downtime, which is why Chapter 4 will only be released the following day.

This is what the new Fortnite season brings with it

It's not long until Chapter 4, Season 1 comes out and you know the Fortnite dataminers. They're constantly digging and digging through the codes, pulling out one leak after the next. And we are here for you to collect them.

Leaks and news about the live event

It's official! At the end of this Season, there will indeed be a live event called "Fracture"!

The final event will start on December 3rd at 4 PM ET. However, we don't yet know exactly what it will entail. We can only say with some certainty that the chrome on the island will play a big part in this. Will we contain it or get rid of it forever? Only time will tell. However, we can say with some certainty that there will be a fight with the Herald. And at the end of the event, the island might fracture, so we'll start Chapter 4 with a completely new map.

First Person Mode

According to a tweet from our favorite Fortnite leaker HYPEX, who has historically been a reliable source of Fortnite leaks and news, Epic Games has started developing a first-person camera mode during Chapter 3, Season 3.

FIRST PERSON CAMERA IN FORTNITE

This update Epic began working on some stuff about first person camera mode but there's no other info about it at the moment as it looks like it's still in early development. Would work REALLY well for the Zero Build Modes pic.twitter.com/PIRRmdLyp0

More precisely he writes:

This update Epic began working on some stuff about first person camera mode but there's no other info about it at the moment as it looks like it's still in early development. Would work REALLY well for the Zero Build Modes

Since Epic has brought new features to Chapter 3 each season, we can assume that first-person mode might even appear in Season 5.

Let's Go Skateboarding!

The old Fortnite heads among you probably still remember the hoverboards with which you could jet across the map in Chapter 1. While the hoverboards won't be returning, something similar to Fortnite that looks more like a skateboard should come. Again, these leaks come from our good friend HYPEX, who claims that Epic has just started developing a skating feature that is comparable to the slide mechanic already in the game. Going uphill is slower, while going downhill is faster.

Weapon Mods

It was leaked a while ago that Epic Games was working on weapon mods. Unfortunately, they haven't appeared in the game yet. HYPEX speculates that Epic is still working on finding the perfect way for players to use them; however, his associated tweet has since been deleted. Who knows, maybe weapon mods will finally come into play in Season 5 anyway.

Creative 2.0

Fortnite Creative 2.0 will also be released at the same time as Season 5! Fortnite Creative 2.0, also known as the Unreal Editor for Fortnite, has been in the works for a long time. Especially after the release of Unreal Engine 5, the community has high expectations for the mode. Fortnite Creative 2.0 will most likely change the way players create their own games and islands.

Chapter 4, Season 1 map changes and new POI's

Community creators have released several map concepts, but nothing has been confirmed yet. We assume that we will get a completely new map with Chapter 4. However, it is not yet known exactly what it will look like.

POI DDMachine

In the files you will find a new POI codenamed DDMachine. It is not yet known where this place is supposed to be, but it is associated with the words "Thermal" & "Lightning". Maybe some kind of experimental or weather station?

Chapter 4, Season 1 Battle Pass Skin Leaks

Not much is known about the Chapter 4, Season 1 Battle Pass, but there are some leaks about various characters that may appear in Fortnite next season.

Pokémon

Epic recently released a first look at the new Creative 2.0 update. A picture was also shared below, in which different Pokémon can be seen on a map. Fans now suspect there must be a reason why the Creative 2.0 images feature Pokémon characters of all things. Considering Epic has had many incredible collaborations in the past, a Fortnite x Pokémon crossover wouldn't be surprising.

Customizable skin

As in the last seasons, Chapter 4 will probably again contain a customizable skin for which you have to collect parts on the island.

Avatar, SpongeBob & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Paramount has signed a deal with Epic Games. The perfect template to start crossovers with, for example, Avatar, SpongeBob, the Ninja Turtles and so on. These will not come to Fortnite as Battle Pass Skins, but maybe in the item shop over the course of the season. Logically, none of this has been officially confirmed yet, but the possibilities seem endless!

Will we get new weapons and items?

Hopefully! Or we hope for new, old weapons. Yes, Season 4 was a change again, but I think we can speak for everyone when we say that we want a better shotgun - preferably our old pump action!

It remains to be seen whether Epic will fulfill the community's wish.

And that was it for now with the leaks. We'll update this article as soon as there's more news, so don't forget to check back often!
