The ice cream van that comes down our way plays the same tune. Better yet, the guy is a hun! Nov 02, 2008#112008-11-02T21:29 Thats brilliant J-P Considering retirement 8,4994 Nov 02, 2008#122008-11-02T21:35 Wonderful 'tashes! And did Celtic really allow them to film that at CP and include the "ooh ahh...UTR" bit?!?! My how times have changed! Can't see that happening these days....Still my favourite Celtic song though! The manky bassas have nothing to even compare to it over at the Deathstar! Nov 02, 2008#132008-11-02T23:22 Nov 02, 2008#142008-11-02T23:24
what's the rest of the lyrics to that song?does anyone know if it's on youtube or that? Nov 02, 2008#152008-11-02T23:25
It was controversial at the time. Celtic said they were stitched up. J-P Considering retirement 8,4994 Nov 02, 2008#162008-11-02T23:49
Sounds about right to me. Certainly wouldn't happen now though. Never liked that "add-on", and like the way it has been adapted to Samaras instead, though there are still eejits who insist on sullying the name of the club. Celtic MUST have heard some of the Wolfe Tones' stuff before that though, and realised there was a serious risk that some choice lyrics may be included! Anyone know who wrote the song?huddler Off treasure hunting in Holland 18K Nov 03, 2008#172008-11-03T00:09 Theres nothing wrong with any Wolfe Tone's song. A band named after the most beautiful of Irish freedom fighters. Some of their songs namecheck organisations which have been deemed inappropriate for the football, but in everyday, sensible life they are fantastic and should be heard and sung at every opportunity (outside the football) imo. brian warfield wrote it i think so its not actually an "add-on" but a line in the song J-P Considering retirement 8,4994 Nov 03, 2008#192008-11-03T00:38
Sorry, not so much "add-on" as "unnecessary". Still a great song though. I did a quick Google search for it, and came up with a page which claimed the song had been banned (possibly in the past?) along with some others. Linky Nov 03, 2008#202008-11-03T08:19
Agree except i believe a few of their songs do have a place at the fitba some of their less controversial rebs. |
