Loss and theft deductibles range between $10 and $249, depending on your phone (BYOD phones are considered Tier 5).
The plan limits you to 3 accidental damage claims within any 12-month period. iPhone users get 2 damage claims under AppleCare; a third claim would be covered by T-Mobile but would incur a $99 deductible for a cracked iPhone screen (versus the standard $29 AppleCare deductible). It covers malfunctioning phones, accidental damage (including cracked screens and water damage), loss and theft. Deductibles range between $20 and $175, depending on the phone you have. The plan covers 2 claims within any 12-month period. Your phone, standard charger, standard battery and SIM card (if applicable) are all covered. Additional accessories are covered if they’re lost or stolen with your phone.
The plan does not cover damage from corrosion or rust, failure to follow maintenance guidelines, intentional damage, unauthorized repairs, pre-existing conditions, warranty-related claims or power fluctuations. Pricing is $8 per month for all prepaid phones. Once you suspend your line, it will be inactive and unavailable for use. If you find your device, you can restore service to the line by returning to My T-Mobile.
Can TRepair or replace a damaged device
If you have Protection<360>, you may submit a claim to repair your damaged device. If you have other Device Protection, you may place a claim to replace your damaged device. If you're a JUMP! On Demand ® customer, you may be able to pay a fee to turn in a damaged device.
Can TYes, if the phone is turned on and in service, you can use T-Mobile FamilyWhere® to find it. Keep in mind that if your lost or stolen phone does not have GPS or if it does have GPS, but is not in clear view of the sky, your location may be reported as a wide area.
Do I have to pay off my phone if I lost it?If your device is lost, stolen or damaged, you're still responsible for your monthly device payments until the agreement is paid in full.
