2013 ford f150 camshaft position sensor bank 2 location

The 2013 Ford F-150 ecoboost has a crankshaft position sensor that can be found in the engine compartment. The first thing You will need to do is go to the front of Your vehicle, and using the prop arm found at the left, or passenger side, of the engine compartment, hold the hood open securely. Now, take a look inside the bay. Toward the back of the engine block, You will see the starter. The crankshaft position sensor can be found situated on top of the starter, under a flap. If the sensor is faulty, it will need to be replaced. You can expect to pay between $14 and $58 for a new part.

Ok guys thanks

All of these answers are incorrect. The crankshaft position sensor is located in between the block and the flexplate on the drivers side rear of the engine. To access the area there is an aluminum heat shield mounted between the drivers side turbo and the block. If and when you can get to the hardware to take it off, youthen have a rubber plug to remove to gain access to where the sensor is. You must unplug the sensor then reach in and remove the mounting bolt that holds it in place. DO NOT DROP THE BOLT. There is no way to get it out excepy by pulling the engine loose from the transmission. Once the bolt is out you can pull the sensor and install the new one. Mind you all this is done recessed through a hole about the size of a golf ball reaching under and behind the turbo. In all actuality you probably will not get past the turbo it is so cramped. In the end you may have to remove the turbo and manifold to gain access. Good luck! Make absolute sure the crank sensor is the issue FIRST!

The 2013 ford f150 ecoboost crankshaft position sensor is above the starter motor at the back of the engine.

Boys and girls lol I’m in desperate help. My 2011 f-150 eco boost won’t stop kicking a code “p0394 cam shaft sensor bank 2 sensor circuit intermittent” sooooo I’ve replaced all sensors, solenoids, sensor harness, fuse box harness pcm, cam phasers and timing chain. It’s getting really old fast. But after everything it starts but runs, it starts but falls on its face really fast and turns off, if I put my foot on gas it won’t turn off because it’s running rough but it will still run really ruff and have very little power to none. I’m just wondering if there is a sensor or something that could go bad that tells the cam sensor to to tell the tensioners we’re to go. Or maybe someone knows what mite be wrong I’m in desperate need of my truck back it’s been way to long and dumped a lot of money into it and nothing fixed it. Idk I was reading about toner rings but maybe something else it could be that would be a more logical answer anything will be appreciated. Thanks

You've changed all the obvious parts. Makes me want to inspect the cam sensor harness and connector pins really closely. A pain, but you gotta eliminate it.

Crank sensor is on the back of the crank and is accessed through a hole on the drivers side of the bell housing. Would think if it was the problem you would have a code for both banks.

Wouldn't hurt at this point to change the crankshaft sensor.
Cam and crankshaft sensors report to pcm.
You have replaced the cam sensors.
Why not replace the crankshaft sensor?

it is not that hard. Do it from under the truck. Do not take the wheel off or the fender liner.

Which cam sensor is Bank 2?

The sensor that has an angled connector is the bank 2 sensor. These sensors can easily be located behind the engine near the firewall. Bank 1 is on the passenger side and Bank 2 ( Angled Sensor ) is located on the driver side of the engine depending on the vehicle model.

Are Bank 1 and Bank 2 camshaft sensors the same?

Q: Are bank 1 and bank 2 sensors the same? Bank 1 and bank 2 have similar sensors. However, bank 1 has two sensors, of which sensor 1 is located near the engine before the catalytic converter, an upstream sensor called pre-CAT, and sensor 2 is located after the catalytic converter called post CAT, a downstream sensor.

Which side is Bank 2 on Ford?

Bank 2 Locations.

Where is the second camshaft position sensor located?

The Camshaft position sensor is usually mounted in line with the toothed wheel on the end of the camshaft. It is usually hidden under the timing chain cover on the front of the engine.
