2015 jeep grand cherokee service air suspension system immediately

  • #1

At 260 miles the dash warned me to service my air suspension immediately. Though 2 hours from my house i was lucky enough for get the warning less than 1,500 feet from the nearest Jeep dealership. Was supposed to be on the highway but Waze took me onto surface streets to avoid some traffic - doubt i would have pulled over to look if i was cruising the highway...

The folks at the dealership, late saturday afternoon, where very responsive and even managed to get me a loaner though the enterprise folks had left the building. Seems that the system had lost pressure to the tune of 0 psi in the front drivers, 13 psi cront passenger and 300 in each of the rear hence any though i had of driving her away was not in the cards. Was told that they system should have 1,200 psi… Sounded like there may be an audible leak but won’t know more until Monday.

anybody else have air suspension issues?

My air suspension has always been funky. Sometimes it only raises to aero mode (under 25mph), it doesn't lower when you get out and seems to always be cooling down and can't be adjusted.

Never gotten the message you saw though.

Strange…. would keep an eye on that. Mine won’t pump up hence sits low. I did notice the day before that i was in aero mode in town. Wonder if that is an indicator of low pressure in the system.

Long story short the front right line to the air spring worked itself off and lost pressure. dealership inspected torqued it down correctly and recharged. Eels like a factory quality escape to me. All seems good now. Great service and people at the Capital Jeep in Norwood MA.

Maybe test it? Have someone inside click thru the 5 heights and see what happens? It's hard to tell from inside the cabin.
