Recently ViewedWhat is best size rims for a Jeep Wrangler?JK and JL Wrangler Wheels
Most of the aftermarket options for JK and JL wheels are 17 inches, which is the same as the stock diameter. The width of these wheels is generally deeper though. You can go up to a 22-inch wheel, or even larger if you don't mind a sizable lift and significant offsetting.
Can 35Technically, yes. You can indeed put 35s on a stock Jeep Wrangler JK and drive around town without issue. However, if you are going to hit the trail, it's going to rub. Now, if you are just overlanding down an old desert trail or simply hitting the beach like we did, it's not a major issue.
Can I put 35Yes, you can run 35s without a lift on a JL Rubicon, but if you are going to wheel it on anything more than a gravel road, you can plan on the tires contacting the fenders. For the 118-inch wheelbase on the Unlimited JL, moving up 2 inches would help with ground clearance, while giving you back the up travel you lost.
