2006 jeep commander 3.7 where is the Location of the Transmission control module I own a 2008 Jeep commander 3.7 Sport the Transmission Module is located under the dash on drivers side.

I have an 06 Jeep Commander 4.7.155000. I live in the mountains. On occasions my jeep would go into limp mode an be stuck in 3rd. I would have to reset the computer. I warning across my dash. Transmission over temp. First I put an extra transmission cooler on. That helped. After I did that my jeep sometimes would have no acceleration. I got irritated an ran
my VIN. Come to find out the jeep had federal recalls for the computer. There is a transmission recall. A transfer case recal and a ABS recall. took it to the dealership they programmed an update. My jeep runs like a raped ape. So I would suggest running your vin. The hole in the wall dealer I baught it from gave me a car fax. That didn't show any of these issues. did you ever get this figured out? My Jeep commander is also do the same thing. Going to run vin and put in newer TCM. If replacing the TCM doesn't solve the issue, you may need a new PCM. Also

Joined Oct 3, 2015 · 8,403 Posts Where is the transmission control module located?The transmission control module can often be found below the cover at the back of the transmission case. It should be just below the engine control module's position. Sometimes it's found under the center console in the interior or even under the hood near the battery or inner fender panel.
Where is the TCM located on a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?Registered. The transmissions in the 3.7's are the Mercedes NAG1 and the TCM is located under the dash on the driver's side, to the left of the steering column.
